Sleep-In: a roof for the night, a chance to catch your breath
In Lausanne, the Sleep-In Association provides emergency accommodation for people experiencing severe social and economic hardship.
Each evening, it offers beds, showers, cooking facilities and breakfast to those staying overnight. More than just a roof, Sleep-In offers human connection, social support and, where possible, access to healthcare services.
While the shelter does not aim to be a permanent solution to housing difficulties, it often represents a crucial first step away from life on the streets. It is a place where people can rest, regain their strength, take care of themselves and, when appropriate, meet with a social worker to explore support options.
SwissCaution’s commitment
By supporting Sleep-In through financial donations over several years, SwissCaution helps sustain this essential refuge—where sustainability takes on a very tangible form: a clean mattress, a hot shower and a kind word.
At SwissCaution, rental guarantees are our core business, and facilitating access to housing is our reason for being. We recognize that for people in extremely precarious situations, access to housing is fundamental—it offers both shelter and a moment of relief.
Guided by this conviction, we have structured our long-term commitment to sustainability and joined the Swiss Triple Impact (STI) program, defining clear objectives in social sustainability, equal opportunities and support for people in vulnerable situations.
